bullet

14 July 2006 - The most current version of the LexiKAN Kanji Database is now available on the LexiKAN Support page.  An effort is underway to expand and update this important piece of the LexiKAN product to include more characters.  As these updates are available, they will be posted for download on the support page.  Follow the instructions there to update your software and increase the number of characters readily available for study with LexiKAN 2.0.

bullet

14 July 2006 - Latest version (2.09) released.  This version adds built-in support for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).  The LexiKAN kanji database now also contains the JLPT "kyuu" (or level) number for each character, ranging from the lowest and smallest kyuu 4 up to the largest kyuu 1.  This addition allows a student to create flashcards based on the JLPT kyuu (similar to the current capability for kanji grade level) using the LexiKAN Flashcard Builder feature.  For additional information on the JLPT, see the Wikipedia entry here.

bullet

25 July 2004 - Online support page updated to include pre-built LexiKAN data files based on kanji grade level or one of ten common kanji reference sources.  Files are also included containing vocabulary compounds from the EDICT file matching the kanji in Word Group.
